This week, Gala Games has announced the launch of an exciting new event in Common Ground World, titled the Harvest Pie Hoedown. From July 16th to July 19th, farmers from all over the world will compete in a three-day event centered around crafting and selling Fruit Pies.
Event Overview
According to Gala News, the Harvest Pie Hoedown will feature a meta focused on Fruit Pies, which require ingredients such as Blueberries, Apples, Strawberries, Sugar, and Dough. The goal is to sell as many Fruit Pies as possible within the event duration. Players can expect a trade time of 60 seconds and a cost of 1 Gasoline per trade in the Plains S biome, bordered by River N, River E, Plans S, and Ocean W.
New Crops and Crafts
In preparation for the event, new crops and crafts have been introduced. Notably, the Blueberry Field has been added, which will be essential for creating the Fruit Pies. The Blueberry crop has a cash value of $300 and requires 3 Water units, while the Fruit Pie, crafted in the Cakery, has a cash value of $43,850 and requires Dough, Apples, Strawberries, Blueberries, and Sugar. The craft time for a Fruit Pie is 40 seconds.
Event Rewards
Participants in the Harvest Pie Hoedown can look forward to leaderboard rewards in the form of $GALA, Gala Games' native token. Additionally, it is a Blueprint Week, offering players the opportunity to obtain the new Crafty Candy Shop Blueprint. The Blueprint provides varying boosts to craft times in the Candy Shop, depending on its rarity, ranging from a 10% boost for Uncommon to a 20% boost for Luxury.

The recent Town Hall held on July 5th provided insights into community questions and introduced new NFTs. The next Town Hall is scheduled for July 19th at 8 am PT, coinciding with the end of the Harvest Pie Hoedown event. Players are encouraged to submit their questions in advance.
For those interested in further enhancing their gameplay, Gala Games has released the Rare Blueberry Stand, available for $199.90. This market stand offers passive Blueberry boosts to surrounding buildings and is limited to a supply of 200 units.
Important Reminders
Gala Games advises players using offline mode to log back in before the event ends to ensure that the fast-forward feature functions correctly. Additionally, players should ensure that the game is the only tab running in their browser and avoid covering the browser window with other programs.
