Bitfinex to List MEW Token, Expanding Meme Coin Offerings
Bitfinex announces the listing of MEW, a meme coin on the Solana blockchain, enhancing its digital asset portfolio.
Bitfinex, a leading digital asset trading platform, has announced the listing of MEW, the native token of the project 'cat in a dogs world'. This new addition marks another step in Bitfinex's efforts to diversify its digital asset offerings.
Introduction of MEW
MEW, a meme coin built on the Solana blockchain, was launched on March 26, 2024. The project aims to combine strategic burning strategies and intentional airdrops to create value, community, and scarcity. Since its inception, MEW has gained significant traction within the Solana ecosystem due to its high transaction speeds and low fees. According to reports, within the first three hours of its launch, MEW saw a transaction value of $150 million.

Trading Details
Deposits for MEW are expected to open at approximately 11:00 AM UTC on July 2, 2024, subject to network conditions. Trading is planned to commence at approximately 11:00 AM UTC on July 4, 2024, contingent upon liquidity requirements being met. MEW will be tradable against US Dollars (MEW/USD) and Tether tokens (MEW/USDt).
