AssemblyAI launches an enhanced version of its Zapier app, introducing new transcription options, events, and improved integration.

AssemblyAI Enhances Zapier Integration with New Features

The enhanced AssemblyAI app for Zapier is now available, offering greater flexibility, more features, and closer integration with the Zap editor, according to AssemblyAI.

Updated Transcribe Event

The Transcribe event, previously known as "Get Transcript," now includes all options available in AssemblyAI's transcript API. This update allows Zapier customers to utilize Speech Recognition and Audio Intelligence features. Users can set language codes, punctuation, and casing options. Additionally, the new "Wait until transcript is ready" field enables users to start transcription and perform other tasks simultaneously.

New Events

The updated AssemblyAI app for Zapier introduces five new events:

  • Get Transcript: Retrieve a previously created transcript.
  • Get Transcript Subtitles: Generate STT or VTT subtitles for the transcript.
  • Get Transcript Paragraphs: Retrieve the transcript segmented into paragraphs.
  • Get Transcript Sentences: Retrieve the transcript segmented into sentences.
  • Get Transcript Redacted Audio Result: Obtain the result of the PII audio redaction model, including the status and URL of the redacted audio file.

Challenges with LeMUR Integration

AssemblyAI notes that the Zapier platform currently lacks the necessary features to support LeMUR, their LLM framework for speech understanding. Although exploring different avenues for future support, no timeline has been provided for its integration.

Next Steps

The new AssemblyAI app for Zapier is available for use. Users can refer to the Zapier integration with AssemblyAI guide to get started or follow a tutorial on how to generate subtitles using the AssemblyAI app for Zapier.
