Accenture and Anthropic have unveiled a significant multi-year partnership aimed at transitioning enterprises from AI pilot projects to full-scale production. This collaboration, announced on December 9, 2025, marks a pivotal step in accelerating AI adoption across various industries, according to Anthropic.
Formation of the Accenture Anthropic Business Group
The partnership has led to the creation of the Accenture Anthropic Business Group, positioning Anthropic as a key strategic partner for Accenture. This group will focus on integrating Anthropic's AI capabilities, particularly through Claude, into Accenture's extensive client base. Approximately 30,000 Accenture professionals will be trained on Claude, making it one of the largest ecosystems of Claude practitioners globally. This initiative aims to provide enterprises with a seamless transition from AI trials to production, leveraging Accenture's expertise in enterprise transformation and Anthropic's advanced AI models.
New Joint Offering for CIOs
In a move to further embed AI into enterprise operations, Accenture and Anthropic are launching a joint offering tailored for CIOs. This initiative is designed to facilitate large-scale AI adoption within engineering teams, utilizing Claude Code, which now commands over half of the AI coding market. The offering includes a framework for measuring productivity gains, workflow redesign for AI-centric development teams, and comprehensive change management and training programs. These components aim to significantly enhance developer productivity and accelerate software development processes.
Targeted Solutions for Regulated Industries
The partnership also focuses on developing AI solutions for highly regulated sectors such as financial services, life sciences, healthcare, and the public sector. These industries face unique challenges related to security and governance, which the partnership intends to address by combining Accenture's regulatory expertise with Anthropic's AI capabilities. For instance, in financial services, the collaboration will enable automation of compliance workflows, while in the healthcare sector, it will enhance data processing and trial management.
Commitment to Responsible AI
Central to the partnership is a shared commitment to responsible AI deployment. Accenture and Anthropic aim to ensure that AI is used safely and transparently, guided by Anthropic's constitutional AI principles and Accenture's governance expertise. This includes the establishment of a Claude Center of Excellence within Accenture, fostering innovation and the development of new AI solutions tailored to specific enterprise needs and regulatory contexts.
Accenture's Innovation Hubs will play a crucial role in this partnership, providing a platform for co-creation and testing of AI solutions in a controlled environment. This approach allows enterprises to experiment with AI without jeopardizing production systems or sensitive data, thus overcoming a significant barrier to widespread AI adoption.
