According to Lookonchain, not all crypto snipers can make money, and caution is advised for those unfamiliar with the practice. A recent example involved a sniper who spent 15,000 SOL (approximately $1.9 million) to acquire 177.9 million WATER tokens. Due to the smaller purchase size compared to other snipers, the individual only managed to recoup 9,306 SOL (around $1.2 million) after selling all the WATER tokens, resulting in a loss of 5,694 SOL.

According to Lookonchain, an investor made a profit of 22,379 SOL (equivalent to $2.9 million) from trading WATER in less than 20 minutes. The individual created a new wallet 5 hours prior and withdrew funds from Bybit. Subsequently, they spent 16,900 SOL (valued at $2.1 million) to acquire 612.23 million WATER tokens, which constituted 22.71% of the pooled WATER, in the same block where the deployer added liquidity.
