As reported by Sawyer Merritt, the new modules, assembled at Tesla’s Gigafactory in New York, address rooftop solar challenges such as shading and installation friction, while also eliminating the company’s previous reliance on third-party solar panels. Tesla's Buffalo facility is scaling to an initial annual capacity exceeding 300 MW, signaling significant business opportunities in the residential energy market and further strengthening Tesla’s end-to-end energy solution, according to Tesla Energy’s Colby Hastings.
