According to SawyerMerritt on Twitter, Tesla has begun rolling out Grok with Navigation Commands to owners in Australia and New Zealand, enabling Grok to add and edit navigation destinations and handle requests like finding top nearby Thai restaurants or Superchargers within walking distance. As reported by SawyerMerritt, this integrates Grok’s conversational assistant directly with in-car routing, reducing driver friction and enabling voice-first search-to-navigation flows. According to the post, the feature supports natural language queries for points of interest and charging, signaling a shift from static menu interactions to AI-driven intent handling. For businesses, this creates new local SEO and advertising opportunities tied to in-car discovery, while for Tesla it strengthens ecosystem stickiness and potential data advantages in mapping and real-time charging analytics, according to SawyerMerritt’s announcement.

According to Sawyer Merritt, Tesla and Chilean energy company Copec have announced a new partnership to install Tesla Supercharger stations along major highways in Chile. This collaboration will see Superchargers positioned at Copec filling stations every 200 kilometres, creating a corridor between La Serena and Puerto Montt, a stretch of about 1,500 kilometres. Each site will offer four charging points with up to 250 kW capacity, all powered by renewable energy from Copec Emoac.
