Event Summary

Gathering the insights from various blockchain leaders, we summarize the latest trend of blockchain and cryptocurrencies in H1 2019 and to explore what to expect in H2 2019.

In terms of blockchain application, Blockchain as-a-service and Consensus as-a-service platform are the latest battlefields for tech giants, and we do expect more to come! Not only do we explore the latest industrial applications of blockchain technology such as digital identities and supply chain but also how big names are leveraging blockchains such as JP Morgan, Facebook, and IBM!

When the price of Bitcoin bounced back to over USD 10,000, there is a belief that the crypto winter has ended and the bull market is coming. Surging institutional demand is the main driver for Bitcoin's revival in H1 2019, such as the emergence of Fidelity in launching crypto trading desks, Facebook and JP Morgan strived to launch their own cryptocurrencies, open interests of BTC futures in CME hit a record high.

What should we expect for the future of Bitcoin and blockchain in H2 2019?

It is our honor to invite the Blockchain Lead of AIA, the Director of Singularity Financial, the President of Bitcoin Association of HK and the Managing Partner of Swartz, Binnersley & Associates.
