How Blockchain Presents Novel Use Cases in Social Good?

The CityU MBA SHARP Forum – Kindness Sustains: Novel Use of Blockchain for Social Good, is held on 6 May 2019 at the City University of Hong Kong.

There are four guest speakers and a moderator to discuss the novel use cases of blockchain in social good.

Guest Speakers

1) Mr. Mark Blick from Diginex.

2) Dr. Tat Lam from Shanzhai City

3) Mr. Nelson Yip from Ep Venture Co., Ltd

4) Mr Zack Zha from Ping An OneConnect Group

The Forum commenced with the introduction of Diginex and Shanzhai City, followed by the panel discussion and at last, the Q&A Session.

An impressive discussion topic for the panelists is that in what ways the blockchain technology can overcome the current challenges. There are a plenty of obstacles in blockchain development such as knowledge of general public, regulations, and shortage of talent etc. In this session, they discussed the way to boost the development in blockchain industry.

There are approximately 60 participants in the event. Although it is MBA Sharp Forum, there are a few participants coming from the universities. Instead, most participants possessed basic knowledge of blockchain. Some of them are not from a blockchain-related company, yet they have shown their passion towards the development of blockchain technologies.
