No Trend, No Divergence: The Prerequisite for Identifying Exhaustion

The core principle of this lesson is "No trend, no divergence." Chan Theory strictly classifies all market movements into three states: uptrend, downtrend, and consolidation, determined by comparing successive highs and lows — both rising simultaneously signals an uptrend, both falling signals a downtrend, and a mismatch between them indicates consolidation. Divergence analysis is only meaningful after a clear trend (uptrend or downtrend) has been confirmed; within consolidation, only consolidation-type divergence exists, not trend-based divergence. All analysis must be grounded in a specific chart timeframe, since the same price action can appear as entirely different states across different levels. The validity of highs and lows must be filtered through a moving average system — only those occurring around moving average interactions (convergence, contact, or entanglement of short-term and long-term MAs) carry analytical significance at that level. Traders should choose chart timeframes that match their capital size, temperament, and trading style, and build a coherent trading system accordingly.

Judge Considers Dismissing Shaquille ONeal and Naomi Osaka from FTX Lawsuit

A federal judge in Florida is considering dismissing Shaquille O’Neal and Naomi Osaka from the FTX lawsuit due to uncertainty about whether they were served. The judge reprimanded other celebrity defendants for not following proper procedure in requesting a conference extension. A consolidation request by some plaintiffs against FTX was denied, and lawyers for former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried noted the possibility of pushing back the criminal trial scheduled for October 2023.

Federal Judge Refuses to Consolidate Class-Action Lawsuits Against FTX Exchange

A federal judge has denied a request to consolidate five proposed class-action lawsuits against the bankrupt crypto exchange FTX. The plaintiffs, including Julie Papadakis, Michael Elliott Jessup, Stephen Pierce, Elliott Lam, and Russell Hawkins, accuse former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried and other executives of misappropriating assets. While all the plaintiffs are pursuing Bankman-Fried, the cases also involve various other defendants, including outside auditors and exchange promoters. The judge pointed out that not all defendants had the opportunity to respond yet, and there's no need to consolidate before hearing their side.
