Amuse 2.2 Beta Released with Stable Diffusion 3.5 and AMD AI Enhancements
The latest iteration of Amuse, version 2.2 Beta, has been launched, featuring notable enhancements for users of AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series processors and Radeon™ 7000 Series graphics. This release integrates support for the Stable Diffusion 3.5 model family, as reported by AMD Community.
Stable Diffusion 3.5 Integration
The Amuse 2.2 Beta introduces the Stable Diffusion 3.5 family, which includes models like Stable Diffusion 3.5 Medium, Large, and Large Turbo. The standout model, Stable Diffusion 3.5 Large, boasts 8.1 billion parameters, offering advanced image generation capabilities at 1024x1024 resolution. A more streamlined version, Stable Diffusion 3.5 Large Turbo, facilitates quicker image creation with minimal quality compromise.
Stable Diffusion 3.5 Medium, with 2.5 billion parameters, supports up to 2 Mega Pixels resolution, making it suitable for a broader range of hardware due to its reduced memory requirements. These models are now accessible to AMD users via the Amuse 2.2 Beta, which optimizes model deployment through a “minimum” mode, leveraging disk and RAM speeds for efficiency.
Enhanced Image Quality for AMD Ryzen™ AI
In addition to new model support, Amuse 2.2 Beta delivers significant image quality improvements for AMD Ryzen™ AI processors. The update integrates Stable Diffusion Lightning, enhancing image generation quality in the “HQ” mode. This advancement is particularly beneficial for lightweight systems operating offline, providing a fourfold increase in native canvas size to 1024x1024 pixels, doubling output resolution to 2048x2048 pixels when utilizing AMD XDNA™ Super Resolution technology.
The HQ mode now includes a “boost quality” feature that further refines image quality, albeit with increased generation times. Users can explore these enhancements by downloading Amuse on an AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series device and adjusting the quality settings.
AMD XDNA™ Super Resolution Optimization
The AMD XDNA™ architecture has been refined to expedite end-to-end upscaling, complementing AI Filters and AI Design tools within Amuse. This user-friendly AI toolkit requires no technical expertise, offering auto-configuration for seamless operation.
For those interested in trying out these new features, Amuse 2.2 can be downloaded from the official Amuse AI website.
