What is Cronos zkEVM?

Cronos zkEVM represents the next generation of blockchain networks. Powered by zkSync technology, it integrates with the Ethereum mainnet via a shared bridge. As part of the broader Cronos ecosystem, the zkEVM chain operates alongside the Cronos EVM blockchain and the Cronos POS chain. The zkEVM chain is designed for high-performance, high-throughput DeFi applications and will not render existing chains obsolete.
