Huobi Global has launched an affordable mobile device, this cheaper blockchain phone is said to be first released in Southeast Asia; the US and European launch have been promised to also take place soon.

This announcement was made on Tuesday at the launch of the "acute angle"  blockchain phone at a price of $515. This device was designed and manufactured by the Whole Network, being a startup that Houbi happens to have invested in.

The Whole Network having created a token of theirs the "Whole Network Node token" also announced that it would be listing its token on Huobi prime. Having other competitors in the space such as

Sirin Labs’ $1,000 “Finney” phone, the Whole Network device can be purchased by anyone with Huobi’s native token (HT) for roughly half the price.

The acute angle is currently available in China with another launch which has been planned in Q4 2019, the dates for the US and European launch have not been released yet.

The Huobi Global CEO, Livio Weng said in a statement that phones that are blockchain-based have a bright future:

“We think blockchain phones are a promising area for future blockchain industry development. As the industry develops and as innovations like 5G become increasingly integrated into our telecommunications systems, we believe more and more crypto communities will want to trade and transact from mobile devices.”

The Whole Network happens to be just in time to tag along with the likes of Samsung and Sirin Labs, among others, in the blockchain-based phone development industry.
