Binance to Phase Out Deposits on BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2)
Binance, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced its plan to gradually cease support for deposits on the BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2). The sunset of the BNB Beacon Chain is expected to be completed by June 2024. Binance will no longer process deposit requests for all BEP2 tokens, except for BEP2 Binance-pegged tokens (B-tokens), starting from May 15, 2024.

Cryptosat, a blockchain-powered satellite orbiting Earth, has contributed entropy to the Ethereum KZG ceremony from space. The satellite's Verifiable Random Beacon service generated the entropy, which was signed by the satellite itself and can be verified using the public key of Crypto2. This contribution will strengthen the security of the next version of Ethereum, which is scheduled for an upgrade on April 12.

Beacon, positioning itself as the most founder-friendly accelerator started by Sandeep Nailwal (an accomplished web3 builder in his own right), hosted its inaugural Demo Day today.
