Naver Pay and Chiliz Enter into Strategic Partnership

South Korean digital payment service, Naver Pay, has announced a strategic partnership with Chiliz, a leading sports and entertainment blockchain company. The collaboration aims to expand Naver Pay's global services through web3 innovations, according to an official announcement on Medium.

With 33 million registered users and 18 million active daily users, Naver Pay serves a significant portion of the South Korean population. The fintech platform provides businesses with a compelling solution to streamline payments and increase customer engagement through rewards. The collaboration with Chiliz will leverage the Chiliz Chain's Fan Token ecosystem to create strategies for exclusive ticketing and payment services, in addition to hosting various fan-focused events.

Chiliz's Expanding Portfolio of Sports Partnerships

Chiliz has established partnerships with world-renowned sports teams, including Tottenham Hotspurs, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester City. They have also recently expanded their partnerships to include football leagues such as the K League and Ligue 1, providing blockchain infrastructure solutions tailored to the sports sector. The fusion of fintech with sports and entertainment sectors is positioned to benefit sports enthusiasts across South Korea.
